I have a Bachelor of Fines Arts in Theatre from the University of Southern California. I was an Human Resources professional at Metapath Software, RealNetworks, Brandrud Furniture and Jefferson Wells International. During my 15 years as an HR Manager and Director at these companies I coached employees and managers during times of career anxiety, burnout and performance difficulties. It became clear to me that most often the individual and the job were not a good match. The individual’s authentic gifts were not being utilized, hurting both the company and the employee. However, I was powerless to affect meaningful changes in their lives because I was a representative of the company. This frustration led me to the Career Coach profession where I can utilize my own gifts and experience to guide others into a life of professional fulfillment.
In 2001 I won the Burien New Works first place prize for my full-length play My Lady’s Hand. Subsequently, in 2003 My Lady’s Hand was produced in partnership between Mad Dog Productions and Moonlight Theatre Company and again in 2004 at Burien Theatre. An original short one act, The Lioness was produced in the 2004 Mae West Festival. I have acted in productions for Belltowne Theatre, Moonlight Production Company, The Union Garage and several other Seattle theatres. Additionally, I have directed productions for Moonlight Theatre Company, SIS Production and the Mae West Festival. I have taught acting under my own company, Puck’s Playground for adults and children.
In 2006 I received a Certificate in Coaching from Coach Training Alliance. I am the busy and sometimes tired mother of two small daughters, ages 4 and 1 and have a 13 old stepson. I am currently working on my first novel.
